The Fido Data Retriever™ retrieves your campaign results to the database of your choice

Overview

The Fido Data Retriever is a Windows application used to download selected email campaign results to a local database.

It's an alternative to fully-integrated email management applications like Springbaud and provides complete flexibility in what data is retrieved and what you do with it.

Fido lets you select the campaign data you want to download – Bounces, Opens, Clicks, etc – and the database you want to save it to. Fido currently supports Campaign Monitor (on the email service provider side) and Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL (on the database side) with more ESP and database support options to be added in future.

And Fido is intelligent enough to only download data changes that have occurred since your last retrieval, saving time and load on your servers and network.

Configuring Fido

Fido must be initialized with both your database and email service provider. This only takes a couple of minutes using the required database and service provider credentials and access rights.

Fido can then manage the initialization of your database – including creating the database and tables. Alternatively, your database administrator can create the database and, optionally, the necessary tables (however it's better to let Fido take care of these procedures).

All that's required on the email service provider side is your API key.
